The MYST Organic Oregano of Olympus (Origanum Vulgare) is a flowering plant that is full of health benefits. It belongs to the mint family. Research shows that it is native to temperate Western and the Southern part of Eurasia and the Mediterranean region. Oregano is a perennial herb that usually grows at 20-80cm tall and has opposite leaves. Medical experts have it that oregano usage can reduce infections, and also prevent damages to cells.
Oregano in ancient Greece symbolized joy and happiness, and bridal wreaths were made from oregano branches. Oregano in ancient Greek comes from the words ”oros” and ”ganos” which means the plant that shines on the mountain.
